CleverGet review – Video Downloader for All Type Videos

mbit

Is CleverGet the best, all-in-one video downloader in 2023? It sure claims to be. Obviously, we do not believe in claims so we’d be putting it through a thorough review in this piece.

Point is, if you need to download videos, from almost any website on the web, CleverGet may be able to help.

Now, I’ve personally used CleverGet for about 3 months now. Only after testing it for compatibility, support websites, speed, and other factors, I decided to scribble this CleverGet review down.

However, this review isn’t biased or tinted in any way. I’ll just lay out the facts for you. You may or may not go with it.

It’s technically free for 30 days (refund policy) so I suppose there isn’t a lot you’re losing anyway.

What is CleverGet?

CleverGet is an all-in-one video downloader. It lets you download videos from literally anywhere. The current list of supported sites includes but isn’t limited to:

  • Youtube
  • Netflix
  • Amazon Prime
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • HBO Max
  • Disney+
  • And over 1,000 other sites.

Point is, if it’s a video, CleverGet can download it. There are no “space/bandwidth” caps or any other caps for that matter.

Should you trust this CleverGet review?

The internet is full of reviews from authors who’ve no idea what they’re writing about. Anyone can go to a product’s website, browse through their features and publish a review. Why should then you trust this CleverGet review?

Well, as mentioned earlier, I’ve personally used CleverGet for quite some time now. To prove the same, here’s my CleverGet subscription information:

Moreover, I’ll be using the tool throughout this review. The features I’ll be using are only possible in a paid subscription.

So, point is, this CleverGet review isn’t heresy or baseless “opinion”. What I say here is my personal experience with the tool.

One-click installation

When you first download CleverGet, you get its setup.exe file. It can be installed in a single click. I’m not exaggerating; it automatically selects an installation folder for you.

All you have to do is, click “install”. The process takes 30-60 seconds at best. Obviously, you can change the installation folder if you want to.

CleverGet User-Interface

Do you need to be a techie in order to use CleverGet? Fortunately, no. Anyone with very basic computer knowledge can use CleverGet and download videos from literally anywhere.

Here’s what you see once you launch CleverGet:

The first thing you’d notice is all these little logos. You’d find Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and nearly every other video platform on the planet on this list.

At the very top, you’d also see a URL bar (#1 on the screenshot). The right pane shows your library (#2 on the screenshot).

Did you see the three small icons next to your library (#3). The small downward arrow shows you everything that’s being currently downloaded. The “Youtube-like” icon shows you only the downloaded videos, while the “wave” like icon shows you audio downloads.

There’s also an arrow (#4) that hides the right pane so you only see the logos.

Point is, everything on this screen is extremely easy to understand, isn’t it? So yes, you can hide your rocket-science degrees, for now, they aren’t needed to use CleverGet.

Which websites does CleverGet support?

As I mentioned in the earlier sections of this CleverGet review, it supports nearly every video site in existence.

In addition to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and other big names, CleverGet supports over 1000+ sites.

You get this list on your CleverGet app for supported websites:

Note that it clearly says –“supported but not limited to”.  This means, there are additional sites it supports even if they aren’t mentioned here.

The sites are categorized alphabetically, and each alphabet clearly shows more than a few dozen sites listed!

The point being, it doesn’t matter which website you wish to download from, CleverGet will probably let you.

Download directly from the URL

There are more than one ways to download videos from CleverGet. My favorite is directly downloading from URLs.

I use this mostly to download Youtube videos. I can literally paste any URL in the URL box and the video can be downloaded directly.

There’s another method you can use to download these videos.  You can click on the logos you see when you launch the app.

They’ll directly take you to the website (Netflix/ Hulu and so on). It’s the same thing as entering the URL manually except that you’re clicking on a logo.

The in-built browser and access to password-protected (streaming) content

You must be wondering, content on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and all those other OTT platforms is password protected, isn’t it?

Meaning, you can only access it after you log in to your account. How then can you download it using CleverGet?

Well, the process is exactly the same that we used to download videos using URL/logo. You simply enter the URL/ click on he logo. The website will open as it normally does.

You login using your credentials and can then download your content.

Multiple quality options, up to 8K (lossless)

So, what happens after you enter a URL on CleverGet? It instantly gives you a download popup.

This popup lets you select the exact quality of video you’d like to download. CleverGet lets you download ultra HD videos up to 8K.

Not just the “quality”, you can also select the format of the video. They can be MP4, MKV, Webm or many others.

This also means you get an in-built converter. You can directly download videos in the format you want without having to re-convert them later.

This screen also shows the exact size of the file you’re downloading. This lets you decide which is the better option for you and how much system resource it’ll eat up.

Video-to-audio downloader and converter

CleverGet isn’t limited just to videos.

For any video you wish, it also shows you “audio” options. This is best when you’re trying to download just the audio from a music video.

You can also convert entire movies into “audiobooks” without any additional expenses whatsoever.

Multiple Simultaneous downloads

CleverGet also lets you download multiple videos at once, simultaneously.

Meaning, you do not need to wait for one video to be completely downloaded before you can download the next video.

You can simply go on pasting links and they’ll all be downloaded simultaneously.

It even allows downloading entire Youtube channels and playlists. You paste the primary link and then it lets you download all the videos in the playlist without you having to enter every URL manually.

CleverGet Pricing plans

CleverGet is sure feature-rich, but, how much does it cost?

So, there are two plans. You can choose to pay yearly, or pay a single time for its lifetime license. I personally would recommend the lifetime license. It only costs a bit more but gives you access for your entire life.

Here are the plans:

  • 1 year: $129.95
  • Lifetime: $199.95

The tool is available for both Windows as well as Mac. And yes, there’s no difference in pricing. You can get it for either OS for the exact same price.

The best part? There’s a 30-day moneyback guarantee. If you think the product isn’t for you, you get a massive window for returning your license. No questions are asked and you get 100% of your money back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before I sum up this CleverGet review, here are a few FAQs you may find helpful:

  • Is CleverGet legal?

Yes. CleverGet is 100% legal as long as you do not use the video for any illegal purposes. You can download and save the video, but may not be able to use it for commercial purposes, or violate any of its other copyright/owner rights.

  • Will CleverGet save my login information?

Not at all. CleverGet never saves any of your login information entered on any OTT or video platform. It’s 100% safe.

  • Yearly vs. Lifetime license, which is better?

The lifetime license costs just $50.00 more than the yearly license. Clearly a better deal, isn’t it?

  • Can I use CleverGet in the browser?

No. CleverGet is a “software” and must be downloaded onto your system. However, it does have an in-built browser as I’ve shown throughout this review.

Conclusion:

So, do I think CleverGet is the best video downloader in 2023? Well, to quite an extent yes. The single feature I’d like to see included is full “browser-based/no download required” support. But, that’s not a deal breaker for me.

The interface is certainly a 5/5. I’ve used it for 3 months and never found a single site I couldn’t download videos from. The quality of the videos has never disappointed and then there are the simultaneous downloads.

So yes, if you ask me, CleverGet totally deserves a peek at the least. Why don’t you go give it a try? If you don’t like it, you get 100% of your money back anyway within 30 days!
